Parce que les tours à bureau se construisent notamment là où il y a un centre financier important (l’expression Bankfurt existe) et c’est aussi le cas pour les villes asiatiques qui connaissent un développement économique monstrueux dans les derniers 20 ans. De plus, le gratte-ciel reste un concept relativement moderne (moins de 100 ans), de très vieilles villes comme Paris ou Londres n’ont simplement pas grandi avec ces idées comme ligne de développement urbain. •
